Lingua Luna has been invited to perform at the Annual Solidarity Day for Planned Parenthood at the Saint Paul Health Center this week! Reproductive freedom is an important issue that is still highly debated, but one that we definitely stand behind.
Planned Parenthood’s mission as an organization is “A Reason for Being:
Planned Parenthood believes in the fundamental right of each individual, throughout the world, to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual’s income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence. We believe that respect and value for diversity in all aspects of our organization are essential to our well-being. We believe that reproductive self-determination must be voluntary and preserve the individual’s right to privacy. We further believe that such self-determination will contribute to an enhancement of the quality of life and strong family relationships.”
We are happy and excited to support this mission, with the solidarity of many others! The event will be held at the health center located at 671 Vandalia St. in Saint Paul from 9am-4pm. There will be music all day, food trucks, storytellers, photobooth, and a variety of opportunities for you to show your support for the cause. Lingua Luna will be playing from 12pm-1:30pm. If you want to attend please RSVP — or if can’t attend but still want to support — visit their website: http://www.ppaction.org/site/Calendar?view=Detail&id=110042.
See you soon,
